What
is it?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
is a bit like acupuncture, but instead of needles we use the fingertips to tap on meridian points around the head, upper torso
and hands. It focuses on the release of negative emotions, which we tend to store away in our bodies from events that have
happened in the past.
How
does it work?
The tapping sends pulses of energy along the
energy system to rebalance it in relation to a thought or specific issue. Shifting the energy changes the way the body processes
information about certain thoughts, so that they no longer cause distress.
What
happens in a session?
We’ll discuss what you want
to work on and then I will create various statements to tune your body into the issue. You will then tap with your fingertips
on certain meridian points whilst saying various reminder phrases, which keeps you focused on the issue.
The great thing about EFT is that
if anything causes you any upset, we keep tapping until you feel calmer. In EFT it is not useful to experience emotional pain
and continue to tell your story. We neutralise each emotion as it arises and don’t go into any memory that doesn’t
feel safe or comfortable until you are ready. Any emotional shifts you experience are usually permanent.
The process is guided by you and
what memories/ emotions come up whilst tapping. EFT is very liberating and really unlocks your potential.
What

many sessions will I need?
This really depends on the original
issue and how far back the problem goes. The more you tap on yourself in between sessions, the more you will become in touch
with core issues that are holding you back and this can help reduce the amount of sessions you will need.
How much does it cost?
£45 per 60 minute session. You will be shown how
to tap on yourself between sessions and any other tools to support your progress as applicable.
